Japanese Skin Care

The Japanese have always used natural botanicals and elements from the earth in their skin care regimens and are very well known for their flawless skin. They exfoliate gently using grains such as adzuki beans & rice bran, mineral rich clays from the earth, powdered sea vegetables, which draw out toxins from the skin and powdered herbs. Then they moisturize using botanical oils such as Jojoba and Camellia oil and nourish the skin with cider vinegar, herbal teas, extracts and nutritive oils. To create your own exfoliating facial blend, choose a clay that suits you and add to it powdered oats, rice bran or adzuki beans, powdered sea vegetables and any other herbs that suit your skin conditions. Add a small amount of jojoba, rosehip, kukui nut or camellia oil (coming soon)and enough water to make a thick paste - massage gently into the skin in a circular motion. Allow it to dry for 10 minutes and then rinse with warm water.
