Helio Carrot Root Total CO2 Extract

Our Helio Carrot Root Total CO2 Extract is produced by utilizing CO2 supercritical extraction to naturally extract all of the CO2-soluble lipophilic constituents from the dried roots of Daucus carota, (also known as Wild Carrot or Queen Anne's Lace). Extracts and oils produced from the seeds and roots of Daucus carota are ideally suited for a wide array of nourishing and moisturizing formulations intended for mature, dry, itchy, damaged or severely problematic skin.

Although their names are similar, Helio Carrot Root Total CO2 Extract is not extracted from the roots of the orange root vegetable that we commonly call a carrot.

After the Helio Carrot Root Total is obtained via supercritical extraction, it is standardized in Jojoba Oil. To help protect this highly nutritive extract, Rosemary Leaf Extract is added at 0.1%.

The composition includes Provitamin A, alpha-cartone, beta-cartone, gamma-cartone, delta-cartone and epsilon-carotene, lycopine, flavones, essential oil and fatty acids. The total cartoene content is between 0.15-0.21%.

The extract is highly concentrated. It is red in color and possesses a light, sweet characteristic carrot aroma. The recommended usage rate is 1-3%.
