Our Jasmine Sambac Manufactured Hydrosol is not a true hydrosol/distillate water because it wasn't collected during the steam distillation of Jasmine. To distinguish this product from a true hydrosol, we are referring to this beautifully aromatic and naturally fragranced water as a Manufactured Hydrosol.
The delicate blossoms of the Jasmine Plant are quite aromatic, but they do not provide their essential oil when steam distilled. Therefore, a true hydrosol is not obtainable from Jasmin Sambac. (Jasmine Absolute is produced by using a solvent that is then removed from the final product).
Our Jasmine Sambac Manufactured Hydrosol is produced through a series of quality-controlled steps. First, the precious Jasmine Sambac blossoms are soaked in ethanol (a pure alcohol also known as grain alcohol or ethyl alcohol). After the essential oils from the Jasmine blossoms are dissolved into the ethanol, all of the ethanol is removed so that only the natural Jasmine extract remains. We do anticipate that a very trace amount of ethanol may potentially remain in the final product, but this trace amount should be negligible. Once the Jasmine Extract has been collected, it is then dissolved into distilled water.
No solubilizers or preservatives are added.
The aroma of our Jasmine Sambac Manufactured Hydrosol is delicate, sweet and floral. If you love the aroma of our Neroli Hydrosol, you are likely to love our Jasmine Sambac Manufactured Hydrosol. In comparison, the aroma is lighter than that of our Neroli Hydrosol. The two would surely smell exquisite blended together.

We ship our hydrosols in plastic to avoid breakage, but hydrosols should be transferred to glass as soon as possible. Like essential oils, hydrosols should be stored in a cool dry place. The shelf life of hydrosols is up to 2 years when they are stored properly. Our Jasmine Sambac Hydrosol does not contain any preservatives. Hydrosols can be stored in the refrigerator.
