African Skin Care
Woman of ancient Africa had access to many natural botanical ingredients that are widely used today in skin care products. They knew the secrets of those ingredients. Egyptians more than any other culture, devoted themselves to beauty and its preservation; so much so, that they buried their natural skin care remedies and tools with the dead. They used natural oils such as sweet almond, baobab, marula & moringa, they used botanical ingredients such as aloe, frankincense, myrrh, rose oil, honey etc. They were endowed with natural emollients like cocoa butter and avocado oil and they used these ingredients extensively in their beauty regimens.
Visit the Ethnobotanical Plants from Africa article for further information on the plants used in African skin and hair care. (This link leads to a site outside of From Nature With Love and will open in a new window.)
"I wanted to take a minute to personally thank you for your generous donation to this past weekend's Nebraska Soapmakers Gathering. Our gatherings are lots of fun and highly educational .. and having supplier support such as FNWL make these get-togethers all the more rewarding."
